Moderating the Human Security Seminar - EUROCORPS

In November 2025, Walter De Cauwer once again moderated the Human Security Seminar of EUROCORPS, hosted at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The two-day event brought together more than 100 participants representing Eurocorps, the European Union, NATO, the United Nations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and academia.
The seminar focused on translating Human Security principles into practical implementation. While NATO has established a clear conceptual and operational framework for Human Security, participants emphasized the need to continuously adapt these guidelines to evolving operational environments and emerging threats.
Expert contributions from NATO, United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps highlighted current best practices and operational lessons learned.
